The ipod

Hello again, whoever you are. As everyone in my class knows, i lost my ipod a while ago in an accident and i was quite distraught for a while.. somehow the prospect of not being able to watch movies in OMT class was frankly terrifying, since said subject was boring enough to put a hyperactive 7 year old into a coma. But be that as it may, the incident made me realise how indispensable this gadget had become to me. I started wondering what would happen if i ran into a mugger one day with my ipod on and couldn't hear what he was saying..
obviously an exaggeration, but u know what i mean..
Anyway, the ipod's place was recently taken by the lowly t.sonic.850..

So i wondered if ipods convey subliminal messages into the user's minds, resulting in apple's monopoly over portable media..... imagine it.
Lose yourself in the music, the moment you own it(in the background, barely audible.... STEVE JOBS IS GOD!!) you better never let it go...

But demonic CEO aside, the ipod is a pretty nifty gadget.

Anyway a friend recently asked me why i don't watch those romantic bollywood movies..
i didn't give her a satisfactory reply, so here it is..

There is only one script for a bollywood movie and it was written several decades ago..

  1. Rebellious youth falls in love with a girl from a rich family
  2. Girl's dad is verry rich and powerful and verry evil and narrow minded.
  3. Girl's evil dad gets pissed at rebellious youth's advances
  4. Girl's evil dad gets his thugs to rough up Rebellious youth
  5. Rebellious youth(who turns out to be a master in various forms of martial arts) beats up aforementioned thugs.
  6. Girl's evil dad used a particularly underhanded technique( ie kidnapping Rebellious youth's family member) to gain the upper hand
  7. Rebellious youth beats Girl's evil dad, saves family member, and gets the girl
Wondering what happened between the 6th and 7th steps? Its a mystery. But i do know that it involves various martial arts maneuvers, cliche' dialogues, and the Girl intervening with a dramatic 'Rukoooo!' at some point of time.
This script is flexible to no end. For example, the Rebellious guy can be extra rebellious. there is no end to how creative the story can be.

For the record, i did borrow the 'same script' idea from Scott Adams. Thanks, Scottie.

As always, constructive criticism is appreciated... No, that's a lie. Say this post is good, or else.. You know the guy from my first post? Enough said.

Later, homies.
